Battle of the Bowls: 10 Luxurious Bathrooms From Around the World

Bathrooms are about much more than just doing your duty when nature calls. They can be a luxurious retreat inside your home, or wherever you may be. They can also be a place for you to show off your sense of style, and some new bathroom technology, too.

What is more luxurious than pure gold? Nothing. This hotel, built by a famous Chinese jeweler, had toilets, baths, and showers that were all completely gilded. Unfortunately, in 2008 when gold’s value started rising, the hotel owner decided to melt the six tons of gold that it took to build the hotel. All the gold, except for his toilet, was melted and put to use at his jewelry stores.
