Julia Ritzenthaler is the Founder and President of Unique Online Furniture, Inc., the parent company of UniqueVanities.com, started in 2005.

Julia is an expert regarding home improvement, home building, and managing finances.

Julia and her husband, Randy, owned a residential construction company in Dallas, TX, which focused on the design and build of custom cabinetry and architectural trim. They built custom cabinets for bathrooms, kitchens, closets, offices, laundry rooms, bedrooms, garages, and more.

She was also a financial advisor for 10 years at Ameriprise Financial, helping clients make sound money decisions, including budgeting for home improvement expenses.

This expertise led her to start Unique Vanities, which offers a handpicked selection of high quality bathroom vanities, sinks, mirrors and more, where visitors can shop 24-7 online.

Julia’s customer centric focus is the foundation of her success. Unique Online Furniture, Inc. was cited as a case study in the college textbook Managing for Quality and Performance Excellence (10th Edition).

One of the authors was a customer of Julia’s, and was impressed by the service he received after placing an online order. Buying online was still a newer concept back then. Unique Vanities is a smaller business surrounded by big fish, even more so today. Julia’s vision was to bring the traditional brick and mortar shopping experience online to stand out among the big online stores. The author was so impressed with his shopping experience, he asked if he could share our strategy with his students.

The company faces competition from a number of competitors, including CSN Stores, eBay, and Amazon. While these competitors offer brand names and low pricing, they lack close, personal customer relationships and communication.
